  • Performed customized welding training and projects for Ameren UE, Laclede Gas, Washington Metal Fabricators, Clemco Industries, CanamSteel, Gerald Industries, Cummins Diesel, Toyota, Michelin and the US ARMY
  • Active member of a welding advisory council and is a current American Welding Society Professional Member

  • Fabrication welder with 20 years experience, local to the Franklin County Missouri area.
  • Worked locally at Washington Metal Fabricators, Stork Fabricators & ProMach.
  • Extensive on the job experience with metal fitting, polishing & fabrication.
  • Collaborated with industry leading companies such as Clark's, Nike, Reebok & Chico's to showcase products at their flagship stores.
  • Fabricated conveyor systems for companies such as Proctor & Gamble and Reckett & Benckiser.
  • Ten years experience in custom stainless artwork & mirror welded murals.

Rob Knoll


  • Entrepreneur with vast background of building successful businesses with passion and strong leadership.
  • 12-year career as Chesterfield, MO police officer
  • 20 plus year experience in starting and building successful companies.
  • Founded after seeing the need for a welding school that offered high level training with a modern approach to both academic and hands-on learning in a state-of-the-art environment.
  • Learning to weld a little bit at a time! 

Harrison Dye 

Welding Instructor

  • Journeyman Welder with 3 years in-field experience 
  • Specialized in construction of ethanol plants, power plants, chemical plants and food processing facilities in Kansas, Nebraska, Louisiana, Ohio, Georgia, Indiana and North Carolina. 
  • Possesses a multitude of AWS & ASME welding certifications utilizing the SMAW, GTAW, FCAW & GMAW processes 
  • OSHA 10 hour certified

Sheridan Dye

Administrative Assistant 

  • Sheridan is our Administrative Assistant/ secretary
  • She graduated from Eureka High School in 2017. When she graduated she then attended STLCC (Saint Louis Community College) for one year and then transferred to Western Governors University (an all online college) for two years. Taking classes online, made it possible for Sheridan to travel with her fiancĂ© Harrison who was a traveling pipe welder. 
  • Being on the road for three years, Sheridan has picked up on all the welding terms, she has seen many different states, an array of beautiful scenery and has been with Harrison every job he has been on while on the road including companies like; Yates, McDermott, GRI, Westcon and Wood Crew. 
  • Sheridan is ready to be apart of American Welding Academy and will continue to share her drive and dedication with the students and staff here at AWA.
